How to setup CCcam cline on your receiver in 3 easy steps.
Setup CCcam cline is very easy. Let’s assume you got working cline and have no clue as to where it should go. This tutorial will guide you through with a simple step by step. Ok, let’s begin.
1. Download and Install FTP client
First thing you should do is to install FTP client on your hardrive (provided you haven’t done that yet). I recommend Filezilla FTP client, it’s free, easy to use and you can download it from here.
2. Connect to your receiver
Now note your receiver’s IP address. It usually starts with 192.168.x.x. Once you downloaded and installed the FTP client, open it and connect to your box. In the Host field enter the IP of your box and in the Username put root now click connect or hit Enter on your keyboard. When you’ve done everything correct you should see on the right hand side of the Filezilla FTP client a window with your box’s folder structure. Like below…
3. Enter your cline into CCcam.cfg file
Now go to etc folder, you should find it in the root folder of your box. In that folder look for CCcam.cfg file, right click on it and choose View/Edit from the dropdown menu. Standard notepad window should popup and this is where your cline goes. Sometimes when you enter it for the very first time there might be some other content in there. You can easily delete it and leave only your cline. When done, click Save, then Exit and when Filezilla ask you to confirm changes, click Yes. That’s it. you’ve done it! Now go check your box, tune in your favourite channel and enjoy.
